Commercial Manager

Responsibilities:

 Strategically expanding, preserving or improving procedures and standards.
 Resolving contractual and commercial problems.
 Take responsibility for the commercial performance of all projects
 Develop commercial strategies and lead on contractual negotiations
 Ensure all projects are delivered in accordance with the contract
 Provide accurate cost advice and financial reporting to the client
 Deputies on all matters of a commercial and technical nature for the Head of Design, Delivery & Commercial as determined
 Deliver work outputs within client led targets and time frames
 Constructively challenge processes and management decisions to bring about service improvements
 Clearly articulate project needs on a scheme by scheme basis
 Pro-actively contribute to value management and value engineering studies at project and programme level
 Overseeing financial key performance indicators (KPIs) of a project.
 Offering financial direction and instruction to the project team, ensuring they understand key aspects of the contract.
 Reporting on financial performance to the project manager and other senior staff members.
 Assessing risk.
 Managing and mentoring the quantity surveying team.

Requirements:

• A University degree in a relevant field required (such as finance or business administration);
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Excellent client liaison and people management skills.
• Good negotiating skills.
• Extensive understanding of the construction industry.
• Good analytical, financial and numeracy skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Sound knowledge of contracts and the legal framework.
• Good leadership skills.
• Must have Azerbaijani and English language proficiency, verbal and written.
