Commercial Manager
Responsibilities:
Strategically expanding, preserving or improving procedures and standards.
Resolving contractual and commercial problems.
Take responsibility for the commercial performance of all projects
Develop commercial strategies and lead on contractual negotiations
Ensure all projects are delivered in accordance with the contract
Provide accurate cost advice and financial reporting to the client
Deputies on all matters of a commercial and technical nature for the Head of Design, Delivery & Commercial as determined
Deliver work outputs within client led targets and time frames
Constructively challenge processes and management decisions to bring about service improvements
Clearly articulate project needs on a scheme by scheme basis
Pro-actively contribute to value management and value engineering studies at project and programme level
Overseeing financial key performance indicators (KPIs) of a project.
Offering financial direction and instruction to the project team, ensuring they understand key aspects of the contract.
Reporting on financial performance to the project manager and other senior staff members.
Assessing risk.
Managing and mentoring the quantity surveying team.
Requirements:
• A University degree in a relevant field required (such as finance or business administration);
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Excellent client liaison and people management skills.
• Good negotiating skills.
• Extensive understanding of the construction industry.
• Good analytical, financial and numeracy skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Sound knowledge of contracts and the legal framework.
• Good leadership skills.
• Must have Azerbaijani and English language proficiency, verbal and written.
