VACANCY IN CHENOT PALACE HEALTH WELLNESS HOTEL

POSITION: CHIEF ENGINEER  

We are hiring for a position of Chief Engineer or Maintenance and Repairs Manager.

Main Experience we look for are:

• Work closely with the management group to ensure all equipment is properly installed and running smoothly
• Manage the Hotel’s Energy Management Systems
• Work closely with the related operational departments to find efficiencies between maintenance and  guest services and resolve emerging issues promptly to exceed guest and employee expectations
• Lead and support a diverse team in the operation and maintenance of the Hotel
• Guide an extensive Preventative Maintenance Program for guestrooms, public areas and safety systems to facilitate a building that is remains in “pristine” condition
• Prepare annual departmental operating and capital budgets

Knowledge and Personal Attributes:

• Minimum 2 years experience in leading roles in Engineering/Meaintenance Departments, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Proven leadership skills in assisting employees to consistently achieve personal and departmental goals
• Must be proactive with strong problem solving abilities to ensure the highest level of productivity at all times
• Creative and willing to take risks
• Proven success in energy management
• Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
• Self-confident and able to prioritize and make effective decisions meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build strong relationships, interact and influence others at all levels of the organization 

Training and Education

• Diploma or Degree in technical disciplines;
• English Language — speaking, understanding, reading. Knowledge of other languages is an asset
