Software Project Manager

Responsibilities

- Developing project plans, goals, and budgets; identifying resources needed
- Developing schedules and methods for measuring results
- Guiding and performing strategic analysis for the project
- Organising and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion
- Assembling and coordinating project team members; assigning individual responsibilities
- Preparing requests for proposals and conducting all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services and products
- Preparing all needed project documentation
- Performing Risk Management and Change Management
- Planning and overseeing the preparation and dissemination of project communications.
- Convey goals and objectives clearly and in a compelling manner; listens effectively and clarify information as needed; interpret verbal and non-verbal messages that others communicate; produce clear status reports; communicates tactfully and candidly.
- Ensure that project status, issues and successes are communicated to project team, stakeholders, sponsors, steering committee and all levels of management and documented appropriately
- Motivate project team members to action. Identify common themes, make inferences and draw conclusions

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Technology or related field
- At least 3 of experience managing major, different and complex İT projects
- Solid technical background with understanding and hands-on experience in one of the following technologies: software development, deployment and ipmlementation of complex information technology systems, implementation of complex software solutions for document management, financial systems, corporate systems and etc.
- Extensive understanding / experience with the Project Management Lifecycle (PMBOK), Technology Project & Program Management Standards as well as Business Process Improvement methodologies.
- Excellent Risk Management Plan development and administration.
- Strong knowledge of Project Management scheduling processes and tools (work breakdown structure, Project Plans, issue & risk management matrices, etc.)
- Effective presentation skills; ability to speak in front of groups
- Ability to be detail-oriented is essential along with strong organizational skills; able to successfully manage multiple projects/tasks at once
- Pro-active approach to problem solving and the ability to think analytically
- Proven ability to be innovative, think creatively and be open to change
- Has a customer-focused mentality; is personable and responsive
- Highly self-motivated, passionate and ambitious individual
- Team-oriented; ability to collaborate and work with a variety of individuals
- Strong interpersonal skills; establishes and maintains effective working relationships with all levels of management, responds appropriately to others, treats others with respect and is tactful and compassionate
- Professionalism; ability to act professionally in attitude and appearance
- Business acumen; demonstrates a general understanding of the principles of financial management and planning; ability to assist in the preparation and administration of a budget; can monitor expenses and identify cost-effective approaches
- Resiliency; proven ability to deal effectively with pressure, remain focused and optimistic, and is able to recover easily from setbacks
- Excellent oral and written communication; ability to provide clear and concise communication with a variety of individuals (peers, customers, etc.)
- Fluency in Azerbaijani, Russian and English
