Job Title: Procurement Manager
 
Key Accountabilities

• Forecasting levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels;
• Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality;
• Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant customers;
• Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them;
• Negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided;
• Processing payments and invoices;
• Keeping contract files and using them as reference for the future;
• Forecasting price trends and their impact on future activities;
• Developing an organisation's purchasing strategy;
• Producing reports and statistics using computer software;
• Evaluating bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors;
• Ensuring suppliers are aware of business objectives;
• Training and supervising the work of other members of staff.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required

• Proficient in Azerbaijani and Russian
• Knowledge of financial reporting, planning and budgeting
• Previous business experience, especially gained in buying and selling, would be advantageous.
• Good oral and written communication skills; analytical skills;
• Solid knowledge of relevant legislation (customs, taxes etc.);
• Commercial awareness;
• Knowledge of restaurant software programs ( Micros, R keeper etc.)
• Ability to adapt to different client needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships;
• A good standard of numeracy in order to analyse facts and figures;
• A flair for negotiation and networking;
• The ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines;
• High Education
• Solid knowledge of relevant legislation;
