Project Description:

SAIPEM-AZFEN JV is construction, engineering and procurement Company engaged in construction of major gas pipeline in Azerbaijan and Georgia.

SAIPEM-AZFEN JV is looking for the candidates who have skills and experience to deliver the following responsibilities during the pipeline construction for the following position:

Community Liaison Officer

CLO will liaise with communities along the pipeline route and around the temporary facilities (i.e. camps, workshops, pipe yards, other temporary works sites) before, during and after construction.

Required experience and qualification

• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience working in a similar role;
• Degree Educated, Bachelor;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Azerbaijan language is obligatory, English is preferable

Duties include:

• Meet, with other CONTRACTOR personnel, community leaders, local governmental officials and community at public meetings prior to arrival of construction teams in a given locality, to inform them of the nature and length of activities in their area.
• Present statistics of personnel employed from local communities against Nationals, status of construction activities and actions taken by CONTRACTOR in regards to community health, safety and security at the public meeting with local communities at least once a year and after the completion of the construction activities in a given locality.
• Address grievances regarding recruitment to Sustainable Manager.
• Support and undertake (as required) pre-construction survey activities.
• Provide the assessment report to  Sustainability Manager
• Share grievances received from leaders of local communities and local governmental officials
• Provide regular information to the Project Team for communication to external audiences on the social impact of the Project and community liaison activities.
• Monitor implementation of the Community Liaison Management plans, Community Health, Safety and Security Plan, Grievance procedure, Procurement and Supply plan
This position is site based. It requires not frequent visiting the office in town.
