Role synopsis

Due to continuing growth in the region, PD&MS Group are looking for a Senior Piping & Mechanical Engineer to join the team based in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Candidates should have previous offshore experience in the oil and gas industry and have a proven background in Piping and Mechanical design engineering. Additionally, experience of drilling facilities and equipment along with offshore survey experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Initial identification and confirmation of overall project work-scope
• Client / vendor interface and liaison
• Coordination of vendors, sub-contractors and Company project engineering personnel
• Performance of discipline engineering tasks and coordination of other discipline engineering tasks and activities, in accordance with company QA, HS & E Policies
• Performance of discipline engineering tasks
• Ensuring compliance with applicable Industry Codes and Standards, HSE Alerts, Statutory Instruments, Client Specifications and Legislative Requirements and establishing order of precedence on a project-by-project basis.
• Maintaining or bettering project schedules, and updating same.
• Progress reporting and full commercial awareness.
• Preparation of cost estimates on behalf of the Company and variations thereof.
• Full project cost control and productivity.
• Input to development and expansion of discipline department.

Essential qualifications and experience

• BSc in Electrical / Mechanical / Structural Engineering or Equivalent preferred
• HNC with 10 Years’ Experience in Design Engineering /Construction /Maintenance or Marine Environment
• Significant Drilling Facilities experience
• Offshore survey experience
• Reasonable Understanding of all Disciplines
• Through Understanding of Relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards
• Reasonable dexterity in the use of Software packages such as AutoCAD and MS Office

• MIST
