Customs Clearance Coordinator
Purpose of the position
To provide full and timely assistance to Company SD2 Team. Coordinate and control customs procedures at Baku, Airport & Sahil Customs customs.
Key Tasks
- Assure fulfillment of the terms of Company Customers’ contracts in the part of customs performance obligations
- Advise Expediting Customer Service on documents necessary for customs formalities and review origin Custom HS code with BP Declarant providing swift feedback to origin;
- Provide information flow on clearance status within parties involved;
- Comply and promote HSSE rules best practices and culture, in accordance with project specific and statutory regulation in the Republic of Azerbaijan
- Provide all documents, connected with customs performance operations for hardfile administration;
- Represents and protects Customers’ and Company’s interests and rights in Customs Authorities;
- Advise Customers and Company’s employees on customs issues and updates in timely manner;
- Interface daily with SD2 Project and other Company stations providing full support;
- Consolidate information and create reports about Company SD2 Project customs performance
- Maintains required filing and logs in compliance with local customs regulations;
- Follow up the changes in customs legislation and inform in proper time all parties involved
- Prompt liaison with BP Customs and Permitting department if case of problematical issues with local customs;
- Maintain project standard in operational processes;
- Provide regular updates and tools on dual use and license permitting
- Assure operational excellence within his/her responsibility;
- Controls & interfaces daily operations of Customs Broker Subcontractor, exercises assess, measures and initiates improvements of its performance when applicable

Educational background / Work experience
- Experience in customs operations is preferable
- International working experience is desirable
- Language skills: Spoken English is preferable
