Altus Intervention AS is looking for an Accountant.

Prospective applicants should:

• Have University Degree in Accounting & Finance.
• Minimum three years of experience in accounting.
• Have excellent English, Russian and Azerbaijan language skills both written & verbal.
• Competent in MS Word, Excel, Access, Internet Explorer and Office.
• Enjoy being part of a small team and able to take initiative when necessary.

Responsibilities:

Compilation and maintenance of accounting procedures
Maintenance and processing of Sales, Purchase and Nominal Ledgers
Maintenance of all Bank accounts and Cash Books
Reviewing aged debtors and performance of credit control
Reviewing employee expense claims including Company Visa cards and maintaining the nominal ledger with regard to this
Reviewing cash flow position on a timely basis
Maintenance and compilation of Fixed Asset cost files.
Maintenance and review of Inter-Company Balances and recharges
Provision of full cover and assistance with Payroll
Provision of full cover and assistance with Purchasing
Adherence to all accounting procedures and regulations meeting any deadlines
Reconcile the balance sheet on a monthly basis, review and follow up on aged items
Calculation and compilation VAT returns
Calculation and compilation of Intrastat forms
Cost analysis of the business.
Keep close focus on cost control measures
Identifying areas of possible cost control, communicate the same to management, prepare necessary policies and
procedures to effectively implement identified cost control measures.
Statutory reporting, including the filing of statutory account thereby liaising with external auditors & tax consultants.
Weekly KPI reporting to Corporate.
Monthly KPI reporting to Corporate.
Monthly book closing and financial reporting as per corporate reporting time table.
Manage and educate the Accounts Assistant to be able to delegate duties towards the future.
Keep close relationship towards Operations, Supply Chain and Management in order to understand the business and ongoing activities which effect the underlying accounting and reporting.
