Title:   Logistics and Purchasing Coordinator

Reports to:  Lead Procurement & Logistics Coordinator

Based at:  Caspian Marine Services Limited Baku office

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

 Acquisition of materials and services for vessels, office and onshore base.
 Ensuring compliance where appropriate with the Company’s Policies and Procedures in accordance with the requirements of Quality Standard ISO 9001:2008, Occupational Health & Safety Standard OHSAS 18001:2007, the ISM Code 2010 and Environmental Standard ISO 14001:2004
 Management and tracking of orders 
 Seeking reliable vendors or suppliers to provide quality goods with determining quantity and timing of deliveries.
 Negotiating prices and contracts.
 Reviewing technical specifications for raw materials, components, equipment
 Controlling flow and storage of materials from point of origin to point of consumption.
 Perform research activities to determine a list of possible vendors
 Make purchase orders/contract with vendors to check availability of needed documents
 Assist in preparation of bidding documents and ensure that other documentation is in order
 Ensure that the right amount of materials are delivered at the right time
 Check shipments to ensure quality and quantity of purchased items
 Study and evaluate formal bids
 Research pricing information and compare prices and quotations
 Monitor all purchase requisitions and handle adjustments with vendors
 Process proof of delivery requests
 Handle limited inventory management activities
 Liaison with the accounting department to reconcile invoices and purchase orders
 Maintain ETAs for open orders

Core Competencies:

 Degree in Technical/Engineering field
 Minimum 5-6 years of experience in related field
 Fluent in Azeri, Russian and English
 Computer literate
 Good communication skills required
