Duties & Responsibilities
 
Accountable for HSE support and guidance covering regional onshore/offshore locations.

Support line management to deploy:

• HSE policies & procedures
• Core Processes
• Clients HSE expectations
• Environmental requirements
• New HSE initiatives

Participates in:

• Local Management safety meeting to discuss and review HSE items
• Toolbox talks to reinforce HSE issues
• Conduct HSE trainings
• Carry out HSE assessments & workplace inspections audits
• Track, monitors & provides updates on HSE corrective actions including HSE improvement plans
• Participate and support line management to prepare for HSE Flash calls
• Mentor line management & employees on HSE issues
• Support the availability of applicable personal protective equipments and training of their usage
• Support line management to report, investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
• Review and approve incidents on the on-line database
• Track HSE performance & coordinate monthly, quarterly & annual reporting
• Track HSE legislation to ensure compliance
• Enjoin line management to develop and implement their annual HSE targets & goals
• Lead the efforts of developing bi-annual and annual HSE overviews
• Lead the emergency response efforts including medical evacuation (where required)
• Coordinates the drug abuse policy including random screening of personnel as required
• Coordinates the Company's HSE Award program

General

• The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post
• Assist with any other duties as and when required
• Undertake specific projects as instructed by management

Safety

• Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment

Other

• Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
• Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment

Qualifications 
 
• NEBOSH/safety certification (E)
• High school diploma or general degree (P)
• Minimum of 3 years experience of HSE Management in an operational environment (E)
• Ability to generate a team approach to problem solving and a good communicator, both written and verbal (E)
• Experience in Oil & Gas (P)
• Experienced in undertaking audits and assessments to meet client and legislative requirements e.g. Internal Audits, COSHH/Risk Assessment and Work Place Assessments etc
• Full Driving License (P)
• Computer literate (E)
• Microsoft office (E)
