Smape has established a system that constant monitor the link efficiency between well-site and engineering department. We are constantly working out new products & services in order to get the best technical solutions for our clients laying emphasis in terms of safety, quality and environment.
Smape, and italian oil service company, is looking for a field engineer trainee for its branch office located in Baku.
Field engineer trainee is part of the crew operating at well-site, supporting the team and learning from the team members on how to handle operations, how to run equipments, make maintenance and all the issues related to our services.
This position is expected to work on the physically and mentally demanding job of Coiled Tubing and Pumping operations in the Well Site.
The Well Site is typically placed in remote locations with severe environmental conditions, therefore the Field Engineer trainee must be ready to work in uncomfortable places and under pressure regarding the operation responsibility.
Oil company professionals will depend on this position, once able to beome a field engineer, for the expert advice necessary to make major production decisions. A combination of technical and leadership skills to motivate and manage the crew and deliver quality service to the customers are a must.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Work with Field Supervisor as field personnel to learn all technical aspects of the advanced Coiled Tubing and Pumping products
• Work with Field Supervisors to learn to conduct QC checks and maintenance on products to ensure compliance with Clients requirements
• Work with Field Supervisors to learn to conduct QC checks and maintenance on products to ensure compliance with internal QHSE / HSE standard in the field
• Provide support in the service optimisation for Coiled Tubing and Pumping application within the Technical Operative Unit for Onshore / Offshore worldwide.
• Provide feed-back from the field to better fit R&D project with client requirements
• Learn to manage the Smape Data Acquisition System development
• Find technical solution to meet Clients requests
• Interface with other field engineers and local coordinators to provide field feed-back in order to improve the equipment development
• Participate in meeting with Clients to provide technical solutions if requested
• Reports functionally to TEOP (Technical Operative Unit Manager)
• Location: Baku (Azerbaijan) availability to travel up to 50% of the time
Education and Experience:
• Master of Science in Scientific or Engineering branches
• 0-2 years of experience (candidates with higher experience will be in case considered)
• Great organizational skills and proactive approach
• Open to work in challenging and though environments
• Motivated, and creative engineer to work in a demanding operational environment.
• Able to bring more personal innovation into the company, with a strong can-do and problem solving attitude;
• Expected to maintain emergency response skills and be able to lead emergency response in stressful situations Leading by example, able to be hands-on when required
• Able to inspire and motivate others to deliver in sometimes difficult work conditions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Azeri native speaker and Fluent in Russian and in English are essential for this role.
• Ability to work and contribute in a team environment along with the operators’ technical personnel.
• IT literacy and fluency with computers is a must, along with knowledge of the relevant software to carry out this role.
• Willing to travel abroad
• EU Passport and Driving License is required
COMPANY OFFER:
Min. 8 months of contract, min. salary 600 azn + extra (meal allowance, travel allowance, field allowance)
