Job Title: Media Villages Service Manager

Key accountabilities

• Develop  a good working knowledge of accommodation and village obligations and processes
• Work with Press and Broadcast on the management of the accommodation bookings for media
• Maintain an up to date reservations system
• Contracting of the rooms via the accommodation booking system for each client
• Work with Press and Broadcast on the management of bedroom allocation and arrival process for over 1400 rooms for media
• Management of hotel contracts of the media hotels inventory and releases
• Ensure invoices are sent to respective client groups and the system finance details are kept up to date
• Management of the arrival and welcome into the village and the check in to their bedrooms like a hotel
• Responsible for ensuring integration of the Resident centre and other Functional Areas within the Village
• Responsible for scoping, developing and communicating the Village Operational Planning process within the Resident & Recreation Centre and the arrival & departure process in the Village
• Responsible for managing the expectations of different stakeholders
• Lead the planning and operation for the Village Resident Services team
• Responsible for Games-time management and troubleshooting of client needs
• Identify, develop and execute process improvements when required
• Responsible for Recreational programming including the execution and fulfilment of available contracts in the Recreational Centres in the Village
• Ensure delivery of service standards according to the Village standard of operations
• Manage and motivate resident and recreation  team

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required

• 5+ years of experience at progressive management levels with emphasis on event planning and relationship management
• Previous experience operating a Village and Hotel front office or relevant experience essential
• Experience in the end-to-end delivery of large scale projects on time and within budget
• Extensive operational experience in Villages and hotel management
• The ability to remain flexible when faced with ambiguity or constant change
• Highly developed facilitation, communication and negotiation skills
• Experience in the end-to-end delivery of large scale projects on time and within budget
• Excellent interpersonal skills, written English and spoken English communication skills
