Social Media Manager

Purpose

The role of the Social Manager is to define the scope of the Social Media (SM) Strategy of Baku2015.com, to manage its implementation and operations, while working closely with the other Managers responsible for Web, Mobile and Editorial matters to create a landmark sports digital event by delivering a cutting edge iconic online experience

Key accountabilities

• With the Head of D&S, refine the SM strategy to reach overarching audiences, markets and goals. Proactively propose ideas, concepts and products to do so.
• Define and manage the SM operations, campaigns and content (in conjunction with the Editorial Manager).
• Manage the working relationship with the various parties involved in the delivery of the SM
• Gather and analyse requirements from BEGOC functions and other stakeholders reg. SM for Games Time
• Lead and manage the different projects related to SM
• Coordinate with the D&S Project Manager and other Managers to ensure timely completion of all tasks and early issue identification
• Demonstrates flexibility and takes responsibility for getting things done and involve others as appropriate.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required

• Proven experience with developing and implementing successful SM strategy/projects
• Extensive Digital culture: be up to date with SM tools, identify and analyse trends/platforms relevant to the overall D&S Strategy
• Proficient English (Azerbaijani and/or Russian would be a plus)
• SM English (and possibly Azerbaijani) copywriting skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Well-organised and capable to constantly meet deadlines.
• Capable to work very efficiently under intense stress.
• An experience in Event related Digital work would be a plus
• Team Player
