HSEQ Manager

General Description

The HSEQ Manager provides challenge to and supports the rig manager in delivering a safe operation in compliance with MD requirements, local and international legislation, and industry standards. The HSEQ Manager is the functional head of the HSE department providing supervision for the onshore HSE Advisors.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Rig Manager with tasks related to the Permit to Operate
Monitor new legislative and industry requirements in order to verify, maintain and update the country specific compliance items in Sirius.
Assist Rig Manager in tasks related to reporting requirement to relevant authorities in relation to HSE incidents.
Assist Rig Manager with tasks related to flag state, class and civilian aviation authority.
Advise Rig Team in compliance with local regulatory HSE requirements, and raise relevant revision request to the Safety Management System.
Advise Rig Team in compliance with contract HSE requirements.
Identify potential and actual areas of improvement within HSE and assist in setting and formulating goals and tools to their achievement.
Promote new and existing HSE training and campaigns from head office.
Workout and promote new and existing HSE training and campaigns from rig team, as per HSEQ Action plan.

Qualification requirements

Formal education in suitable technical, marine, HSE or quality engineering disciplines.
Proficient in HSE management systems.
Good English verbal and written communication skills.
Offshore safety courses and medical certificates complying with the requirements stipulated for regular crew by the Continental Shelf Authority of the operating area.
