Job Title: Senior Manager – Venue Management

Key accountabilities

Planning

• Ensure effective Games-time operations in accordance with the terms of the Venue Policies and resolving issues regarding venue use.
• Ensure effective and timely resolution of all venue-specific issues
• Ensure effective information sharing and issue resolution with relevant authorities.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with public safety officials; act as BEGOC’s primary liaison with the venue owner, all relevant local authorities, and other stakeholders
• Ensure that all necessary documentation, policies, procedures and contingency plans required for the planning, readiness and operational phases are produced on time to the required standards
• Regularly communicate, formally and informally, to both Venue Managers and teams, and to senior staff including Heads of Function and Directors

Delivery

• Provide leadership, direction and management of the venue team, in accordance with pre-agreed venue operating principles. This should also be consistent with the plans and resources of individual Functional Area operating plans.
• Ensure effective Games-time operations in accordance with the terms of the Venue Policies and resolving issues regarding venue use.

Other

• You may also be required to carry out additional or other duties, or to transfer to another post on either a temporary or permanent basis, to meet the needs of the business.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required

• Management or operationalexperience preferably in a large scale facility
• Event Management experience, particularly in the planning and delivery of a major event would be an advantage
• The ability to contribute to the development of the safe working framework of the venueand within BEGOC’s Health & Safety framework.
• Successful track record in managing large multi-disciplinary teams from inception through to delivery
