DDLAR GROUP of companies operating in construction industry is urgently looking for HSE Manager.
The successful candidates should have:
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years construction HSE experience
• Holder of NEBOSH Certificate
• Strong supervision skills
• Strategic thinking and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate with employees at all levels
• Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA)
• Professional level of Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:
• The Development and Maintenance of a Health, Safety and Environmental management system to meet with the requirements of OHSAS 18001 2007 and ISO 14001
• Develop and administer the project HSE plan in alignment with corporate HSE management systems
• Ensures the project’s operations are fully compliant with the HSE legislation of Azerbaijan Republic
• Oversee project safe work permits, hot work permits and lifting plan program
• Regular HSE reporting to Senior project manager
• Schedule and perform regular inspections and site walk-throughs
• Oversee behavior based observation and conversation program
• Act as a liaison with the on-site construction management team
• Provide interpretation of appropriate OH&S legislation as it applies to the project
• Manage project incident management protocol inclusive of root cause analysis and identification of preventative measures/actions
• To hold a regular HSE meetings with workforce and management system review meetings with management team
• Chairing regularly scheduled project HSE meetings
• Overseeing site orientation and on-boarding process for all workers
• Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices
• Facilitate a work environment that supports a safe and healthy culture
• Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment
• Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance
• Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities
• Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes
• Coordinate employee safety programs to determine their adequacy including review of short and long term strategic safety planning and development
• Order and maintain facility safety inventory including supplies and equipment
