Responsibilities
- Develop and manage market penetration strategies for the consumer market, cultivating knowledge of key customers and competitors.
- Identify brand growth opportunities and interact closely with the sales force to ensure they understand and implement the Brand Marketing & Commercial plan.
- Develop and implement the brand activation plan based on aligned yearly business plans.
- Adapt global communication and promotional materials to the needs of the local market, leveraging local market insights.
- Monitor market and competition performance, analyse deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the medical department and drug registration on brand communication, advertising slogans (claims), and other aspects required by pharmaceutical law.
- Coordinate the brand's promotional budget to deliver the brand's annual performance objectives.
Brand Activation:
- Market the organization's products through various channels, including media (TV, radio, print, direct mail, the Internet), events, and sales promotions, in-store materials.
- Adapt global marketing tools to the needs of the local market in accordance with regional/global guidelines, adjusted as per the relevant local law.
- Produce local creative works in accordance with guidelines and in consultation with the regional brand marketing department.
- Prepare a recommendation on the portfolio strategy for the brand and the level of investment for the brand.
- Prepare, together with other departments, a price recommendation for the brand based on regional guidelines and local market analysis.
- Localize centrally developed activation plans for new product launches.
- Prepare and implement the annual communication plan for the brand, including target group, key touch points, and maximization of local opportunities for the brand.
- Prepare an integrated commercial plan for the brand in cooperation with the commercial marketing and sales departments.
- Recommend, develop and implement local commercial and marketing innovations after consultation with the regional brand marketing department.
- Cooperate with logistics and sales departments in the preparation of sales forecasts for the brand for the next 24 months.
Market Research:
- Responsibility to understand consumer research data and needs at a local level: crafting consumer and market "insights" and implementing plans based on such insights.
Business outcomes:
- Responsibility for the brand's sales value and market share
- Extensive cooperation with internal and external clients:
- Daily interaction with other departments (commercial marketing, drug registration, etc.) to align and implement an integrated brand activation plan
- Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders (sales teams, agencies, key opinion leaders, regional and Business Unit brand and cross functional teams, etc.)
Qualifications
- Marketing/ business degree or equivalent
- English fluency is a must
- 5+ years marketing experience for BM positions, experience with leading FMCG or OTC brands and experience in developing brand strategies & activation plans inclusive of media management.
- Experience in managing trade execution of brand under holistic strategy; understanding of commercial levers is a must.
- Good level of understanding of Digital placement
- Knowledge and understanding of developing insights as well as analysing & understanding consumer, shopper, and customer trends to form the strategy & activation plans.
- Proven ability to manage projects in a complex environment.
- Ability to communicate, negotiate and interact effectively within the organisation.
- Strong leadership & collaboration skills; motivating within a multi-country marketing team and moderating conflicts cross-functional and cross-country.
- Experience and demonstrated success in driving organizational change initiatives required.
- Preferred: Positive and can-do attitude, problem solver, open for challenges.
