Protective Security Systems (PSS) and Integration Manager

Purpose

The PSS & Integration Manager is responsible for the daily activities supporting the procurement, delivery and implementation of the Perimeter Security Systems required to support the Games. This is an evolving position and responsibilities may shift over time as BEGOC is a rapidly developing organisation.

Key accountabilities

• PSS Design and Delivery Integration between GSA, VDD and DPs.
• To monitor and report on the delivery and assurance of the Venue Physical Perimeter Security Systems requirements for the Games, including but not limited to:
o Contractor detailed perimeter designs including fence fabrication details, installation details and methodologies, risk assessments and method statements.
o As above but including pedestrian and vehicle access gates.
o Hostile Vehicle Mitigation Systems at vulnerable positions and at vehicle access points where specified.
o Blast Mitigation Systems where specified.
• On behalf of the HoF, act as the single point of contact for all technical security matters with designated venues and contractors.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on PSS (through the VSI Assurance Programme) to the Security Venue Operations Programme. This will include preparing PSS operational procedures in support of SEC Operations.
• Ensure that all specific training requirements for PSS operators has been scoped and included in the delivery of training by the designated supplier through the Security Workforce Delivery Programme.
• Coordinate with BEGOC Venues and Infrastructure for the delivery and installation of venue based PSS.
Ensure that the PSS Work stream delivery and implementation programme is aligned and integrated; addressing installation, commissioning, acceptance and operation through to decommissioning

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required

• Experienced in managing large scale Perimeter Security Systems and implementation programmes.
• Experienced in translating client requirements into effective delivery specifications.
• Recognised expertise and experience in physical security systems and security risk mitigation strategies.
• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary organisation and to build active, cooperative partnerships with external organisations in an integrated manner.
• Dynamic, self-motivated and innovative, able to work under pressure to tight deadlines with excellent IT, written and verbal skills.
• Proven Project Management Experience.
• Good standard of spoken and written English.
A Civil Engineering or other similar Engineering Discipline would be of advantage.
