Title: Engineering Superintendent

Reports to: Operations manager

Based at: Caspian Marine Services limited Baku office

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

 Ensuring compliance where appropriate with the Company’s Policies and Procedures in accordance with the requirements of Quality Standard ISO 9001:2008, Occupational Health & Safety Standard OHSAS 18001:2007, the ISM Code 2010 and Environmental Standard ISO 14001:2004.
 
 Monitor vessels plan maintenance schedule for compliance and feed critical dates (dry docking etc) into the Operational Manager’s long term vessel plan

 Provide monitoring and review of all engineering & integrity related activities on  board the vessel, including but not limited to repairs and modifications

 Monitor vessel’s engines fuel consumption and arrange spot audits

 Be the focal point for all matters related to mechanical and vessel integrity for vessels chartered from ACSC

 Monitor & Audit engineering and integrity aspects of vessels specification.

 Verify costs and invoices relating to repair and modification of vessels powers systems and other under deck mechanical system and equipment.  

 Provide review and Supervisory overview of the Company procedures related to vessels’s maintenance and repair. 

 Support the rolling out of Safety Rules and What we Stands For with contractors

 Lead the investigation and or review of engineering/integrity type incidents

 Provide specialist assistance/advice in investigating and closing-out other marine engineering related incidents

 Participate in the provision of out of hour’s operational and emergency call-out, ensuring a continuous CMS service is provided

 Provide input and support into the overall Company marine strategy, specifically in the areas propulsion type, horse power and fuel efficiency

 Assisting Human Resources Department with selection of mechanical engineering personnel.
