Job Title: Logistics Coordinator/Office Assistant
Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Organizing various kinds of logistics related documentation and regular follow up with the shipping companies;
• Responding to management inquiries regarding inventory & shipment status;
• Supervising import and export operations (overseas & incoming shipments), keeping compliance with custom laws, notifications, tariffs;
• Track shipments from pickup through delivery so that accurate, up-to-date information can be provided regarding any shipment;
• Negotiate with transportation providers to obtain best rates and service
• Supervising all activities pertaining to Inventory Control, Warehouse Receipts, Damaged Goods, and Sales Contracts & Inventory Reporting;
• Dealing with Customs Clearance, Temporary Import/Export Extensions of equipment, etc.;
• Coordinating purchase of supplies and equipment, preparing Purchase Orders;
• Working with vendor invoices, checking accuracy for payment;
• Dealing with air ticket and hotel reservations;
• Assistance in getting VAT Exemption Certificates from Tax & Customs Authorities;
• Answering to phone calls;
• Filing and administrative duties as required
Requirements:
• University degree
• Minimum 3 year experience in the freight forwarding.
• Fluent Azerbaijani, Russian and English, verbal and written
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills
• Has excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Has the ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up
