General

Field Engineers position has overall responsibility for well intervention and requires both detailed broad well engineering and operations knowledge including the ability to design Coiled Tubing Well intervention and Production Enhancement intervention. Field Engineers requires typically management skills in addition to technical competency.
Work on the physically and mentally demanding job of Coiled Tubing and Pumping operations in fact field engineer job takes place as in the Office as in the Well Site.
The Well Site is typically placed in remote locations with severe environmental conditions, therefore the Field Engineer must be ready to work  in uncomfortable places and under pressure regarding the operation responsibility. Further, Field engineers must be well prepared to work on land and sea as in the coldest as in hottest environment, to work in dirty place and sometimes to perform job physically in order to deliver services to our customers.
Since the dimension of Smape, the Field Engineer is here asked to bring more personal innovation into the company, and his support is required to be greatly significant. Further he needs to be ready to work with diversified team work.
As the team leader and the onsite Smape representative, engineer will be the first point of contact for our customers. Oil company professionals will depend on employee for the expert advice necessary to make major production decisions.Engineer must use a combination of technical and leadership skills to motivate and manage crew and deliver quality service to our customers.
After completing fixed-step training program, engineer have the option to build a career in operations management, technology, personnel, marketing, technical department, QHSE and other disciplines.
All technical theory is taught with an emphasis on practical hands-on training and class-room training. In addition,  receive training in quality, health, safety and environment. To continuously develop skills, we offer external courses.

Relationship  

Reporting functionally to TEOP (Technical Operative Unit Manager)

Interface with TENG (Technical Engineering Unit) to provide field feed-back in order to improve the equipment development

Participate in meeting with Clients to provide technical solutions

Act as a mentor to other Field Engineer

Act as a mentor to Assistant Operator

Work with Field Supervisor to support field personnel on location with all technical aspects of the advanced Coiled Tubing and Pumping products

Work with Field Supervisors to conduct QC checks and maintenance on products to ensure compliance with Clients requirements

Work with Field Supervisors to conduct QC checks and maintenance on products to ensure compliance with internal QHSE / HSE standard in the field

Responsabilities & Duties

Provide support in the service optimisation for Coiled Tubing and Pumping application within the Technical Operative Unit for Onshore / Offshore Italy, Algeria, Egypt, Europe, Caspian Area.

Provide feed-back from the field to better fit R&D project with client requirements

Manage the Smape Data Acquisition System development

Provide support for Field Operators Classroom Training Process

Provide support to develop and manage new Field Operators Training Programs

Improve and Manage the Smape Standards System and Best Practices

Find technical solution to meet Clients requests

Deal with Suppliers regarding strategic material

REQUIRED EDUCATION

This position requires a motivated, proactive and creative engineer to work in a demanding operational environment.
Expected to maintain emergency response skills and be able to lead emergency response in stressful situations Leading by example, able to be hands-on when required, but also able to delegate and co-ordinate effectively. Able to communicate with authority, and motivate others in sometimes difficult work conditions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as being fluent in written and spoken English are essential for this role.
Ability to work and contribute in a team environment along with the operators’ technical personnel.
IT literacy and fluency with computers is a must, along with knowledge of the relevant software to carry out this role. Willing to travel abroad, driving license required.
