Key Responsibilities:

Network Design and Implementation:

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless networks.
• Develop and implement network architecture to support new applications and technologies.
• Evaluate and recommend new networking products and technologies to improve network performance and security.

Network Management and Support:

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Manage network configurations, perform regular network maintenance, and apply patches and upgrades.
• Ensure network security through the implementation of appropriate firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security measures.

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and implement long-term strategies for network growth and improvement.
• Plan and execute network infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and policies.
• Prepare and present regular reports on network performance, usage, and security status to senior management.

Collaboration and Leadership:

• Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network services with other IT systems.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior network administrators and IT staff.
• Lead and participate in network-related projects and initiatives.

Compliance and Security:

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including data protection and privacy laws.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential network vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or lead role.
• Proven experience with enterprise network infrastructure design, implementation, and management.
• In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, SDWAN and MPLS.
• Expertise with network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
