Job Description

Technical

• Be responsible for the procurement process: receive purchase requisition from customer, review the request for completeness; identify and locate vendors; obtain and evaluate price quotations, negotiate best price, place order, expedite the process, confirm delivery of the goods to requester, ensure payment terms are agreed with supplier in advance
• Be responsible for the expediting process: facilitate and expedite the flow of goods and services to support procurement process; deal directly with suppliers to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of materials to various locations and resolving any supply issues; ensuring that goods or services are delivered to the right place at the right time to achieve improved delivery dates
• Executing international/local purchases in full compliance with established Company Purchasing Procedure
• Prepare procurement reports as requested
• Maintain and update Purchase Order Database
• Assist accounting department with information / documentation to be obtained from Supplier for payment processing
• Obtain high level of customer satisfaction both external and internal
• Obtain approvals from Client and provide justification on procurement of goods/services, when required
• Follow the company established supplier selection process
• Assist in developing and maintaining Company Approved Supplier List
• Assist in ensuring Suppliers accomplish their tasks from annual company audit report and Company Compliance Matrix
• Provide assistance to Subcontracts and Procurement Lead, as required
• Other reasonable tasks as required by Subcontracts and Procurement Lead

Customers

• Responsible to maintain good working relationship with customers/vendors/clients

HSEQ

• Interface with HSEQ to ensure that all HSEQ requirements outlined in POs are met and any internal changes approved by management is communicated effectively to suppliers
• Monitoring and prevention unsafe situations
• Ensure that assigned annual HSEQ audit actions are closed in a timely manner
• Constantly look for and act in the ways that reduce health and safety risks, and the environmental, social, and security impact of work scope and initiate improvements

Essential Skills
 
• 3 to 5 years of progressive years of experience in procurement
• Thorough understanding of procurement processes
• Good command of English, Azeri and Russian.
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to accurately handle paperwork and documentation
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment

Desired Skills

• Degree qualified
• Experience in logistics/ oil & gas sector
