Position objective:
Responsible for preparing, applying, coordinating all HSE processes within the Bank and raising employees awareness in this area.
Job description:
- Prepare and maintain HSE management system within entire organization;
- Constant raising HSE awareness and preparedness within the Bank. Prepare, coordinate and deliver HSE training programs;
- Direct concerned divisions of the Bank on HSE matters;
- Annual HSE budget planning (direct concerned divisions in HSE budget planning);
- Create, update and manage internal HSE policies, procedures and programs;
- Manage internal HSE risks and control risk owners in managing the work with contractors;
- Comply with fire and other safety requirements in the workplace, control first aid supplies, fire and other safety means;
- Prepare emergency evacuation and preparedness processes, readiness of organization and employees in this area;
- Prepare and distribute HSE regular reports, presentations, bulletins, posters and communications providing employees with workplace statistics, new and existing hazards and system changes;
- Conduct regular inspections in the workplaces, review work practices, recommend process and system improvements;
- Investigate HSE breaches, as well as investigate accidents and incidents, keep records, and timely and proper submission of reviews, reports and proposed solutions;
- Control potentially hazardous units, maintenance and other works, define repair scope as a result of inspections and emergencies;
- Ensure ventilation, fire safety, compliance with law requirements, establish mutual relationships with appropriate state bodies;
- Conduct safety inductions with new hires and conduct regular and refresher safety trainings to employees, post training assessment of employees knowledge and assist with eliminating any unawareness;
- Other verbal and written tasks assigned by line management, as necessary.
Required skills, knowledge and expertise:
- Education: BSc in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering or other relevant technical field.
- Work experience: Minimum 4 years work experience in the relevant field
- Licenses/Certificates: International HSE or MES issued certificates are required.
- ISO 45001, ISO 41001 standards general awareness, knowledge of the Azerbaijan Republic HSE and Fire Safety rules
- General knowledge of and work experience in construction, immovable property works is of preference.
- Agile, Lean work methods awareness is of preference.
- Foreign languages: English (good), Russian (intermediate)
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office
- Other: Strong communication skills, leadership, conflict resolution, management, innovative thinking and self development promotion skill.
