Role synopsis BP

Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey Region (AGTR) Azeri-Cirag-Gunashli New Well Delivery Team invites you to apply to a position of Operations Petrophysicist where you will support operations within team, interpretation of the real time and memory log data as well as post drill analysis integrating logs, pressures and other drilling and geological information. As a specialist, you are expected to interact and support geoscience and drilling teams, and provide timely evaluation on reservoir properties, cement quality and fluid type.

Key accountabilities 

As Operations Petrophysicist, you will be performing in three directions with below responsibilities: Well Integrity:

- Cement Bond Log (CBL)/Small Bore Tubing (SBT) interpretation

- Pore Pressure Fracture Gradient (PPFG) input (Real-time flow zone identification/fluids interpretation) Logging While Drilling (LWD)/Well Leak (WL) Specialist:

- Liaison with service companies, i.e. contracting, checking invoices, logging programs, log Quality Control (depth control, environmental corrections, tool calibrations)

- Liaison with Delivery Cost Index (DCI)

- Performance reviews New Well Delivery Petrophysics:

- Well planning, i.e. data acquisition, properties check, fluids/contacts, Dip/azimuth/Transgressive Systems Tract (TST) (check model against regional/sector trends)

- Post Drill Review

Essential Education 

- Minimum BSc degree in Engineering or Geosciences

Essential experience and job requirements 

Relevant 5+ years of experience in logging or formation evaluation

Other Requirements (eg Travel, Location) 

- Understanding of the drilling processes and operations

- Logging job witnessing

- Experience in dealing with service providers

Desirable criteria & qualifications 

- Log Quality Control

- Well Leak (WL) or Logging While Drilling (LWD) field experience

- Basic Petrophysics/Log interpretation

- Operations – understands drilling operations
