Key responsibilities:

• Installing, configuring, and managing Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems within companies
• Accessing the internet protocol packet-switched networks and using this to exchange fax or voice information
• Helping set priorities for tasks relating to the telephony environment through in-depth knowledge of scheduled work, contract impacts, client needs executive direction, etc.
• Assisting peers when they are in need of additional technical information or support to perform their duties

Required skills:

• Experience with both analog and digital telephony
• Experience with IP telephony architecture and designs
• Knowledge of Asterisk, Avaya, Linux, Intuitive Telephony - VoIP, PBX, IP, Phone System
• Good understanding of the relationship between IP telephony and network services architecture

Soft:

• Demonstrated experience working with technical and non-technical staff
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

Qualifications:

• MSc or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication or in related fields preferred
• 2+ years of experience with IP switches/router/based networks
