Caspian Investment and Development Corporation (“CIDC Baku LLC”) is embarking on a major project in the production of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and the production of raw materials to facilitate this strategy with the development of a new plant.

Following successful commencement of Production the Baku based state of the art manufacturing works requires the assembly of a project team with high skill, proven potential and the ability to drive the vision of CIDC. 

We are currently looking for a Head of Legal Department to join the Company.

The duties will include (but not limited to):

• Effective management of Legal department
• Being responsible for all major Corporate legal matters
• Advising on liability and legal exposure for the business.
• Preparing all project contractual documentation including major International purchasing contracts and tender documents
• Preparation and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Coordinate legal department to be sure that the legal documents and other contractual documents are effectively drafted, reviewed, interpreted, and vetted.
• Taking decisive actions on various legal matters and assessing contentious and uncontroversial issues.
• Keeping contact with the different authorities and governmental organization for Legal issues
• Provide risk amangement and legal protection advice to Management
• Assessing and advising effectively to minimize and control risks to company and ensuring that the system, controls and processes are appropriate as relevant.
• Representing the company in ensuring the efficient handling and winning resolution of all negotiations and disputes.
• Advising and ensuring the business in compliance with the necessities of legislation involving data protection.
• Preparation of monthly reports for Senior Management staff
• Proviidng necessary legal training sessions for Management and relevant departments.

Requirements:

• University degree in Corporate Law (International background is an advantage).
• At least 7-10 years of practical experience at the International companies
• Fluent in English, Azeri and Russian
• Self starting person, taking responsibilities and initiatives
• Deliver high quality and ultimate work
• Strong knowledge of MS Office
