Role synopsis BP
Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey Region (AGTR) invites experienced professionals to apply to Cementing Engineer position. On this role you will provide assurance on the design, planning & implementation of cementing programmes and support to the Well Teams. The role requires site work offshore to supervise and ensure the integrity of cementing operations. As a Cementing Engineer you will report to the Cementing Team Leader.
Key accountabilities
• Provide quality assurance of all cementing programmes & verify their compliance with agreed standards, lessons learned and best practices.
• Provide Input and assist with BP the zonal isolations requirements for well integrity purposes during well construction, temporary & permanent abandonemnt
• Review and examine laboratory testing of Cement slurries ensuring they meet BP Design requirements.
• Provide direct support to AGTR Wells Engineers including performing site witnessing of critical cement jobs against the programme.
• Assist in analysing cementing performance & propose improvements.
• Assist in developing and implementing of a long term development programme
• Ensure that health, safety and environmental performance is maintained as the highest priority.
Essential Education
• Minimum bachelor degree in Engineering or Exact Sciences (or equivalent).
Essential experience and job requirements
• Minimum 3 years cementing engineering experience including offshore cementing and cementing design.
• Azerbaijani Citizenship
Other Requirements (eg Travel, Location) *LI-WRAP
Desirable criteria & qualifications
• Experience working for Major Global Oil Company or Major Global Cementing Service Provider.
• Previous cementing experience offshore in Caspian Sea.
• Knowledge and application of Cementing Software applications.
