PD&MS Energy, is recognised as a provider of safe, effective, and cost efficient design and engineering services to the oil and gas, drilling, production and marine industries. PD&MS focus on brownfield engineering, including upgrades to platforms and rigs. Services include project design, design verification and management, structural, piping, mechanical, HVAC, and electrical / instrumentation design, upgrades and modifications, inspection, auditing and engineering support. PD&MS Energy has operations in Aberdeen, Dundee, Great Yarmouth, Middlesbrough and Brazil.
Role synopsis
PD&MS Energy have recently been awarded a contract by BP Exploration for the provision of Engineering Services for Platform Drilling. As a result of this we have opened a new office in Baku and will require a suitably qualified and experienced citizen of Azerbaijan to fill the role of Senior Planning Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
• Familiarisation with and full understanding of, quality, safety and management systems.
• Preparation and maintenance of Company project plan/schedule and interface with and input to, Client project plan.
• Liaison and interface with Client Representatives on issues of project planning.
• Data retrieval and review pursuant to project planning status.
• Assisting with other general project related activities as requested from time to time, within expected capabilities and/or training.
• Maintaining or bettering project schedules, as directed and within expected capabilities and/or training
• Ensuring compliance with relevant QA Health & Safety and Environmental Policies, where applicable
• Assisting Department Head of Planning with development and improvement of Planning System
• Supervision, development & training of junior Planning personnel
• Establish and maintain ‘Best Practice’ for Project Planning & Controls
• Ensure compliance with Corporate Planning standards
Communicate potential project plan/schedule risk to Project Responsible Person
Essential qualifications and experience
• Recognised Diploma in business Studies, business management, accounts or engineering
• Proficient in the use of Primavera P6
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project
• Proficient in the application of Project Planning & Control Principles
• 5 years’ experience in a similar role
