PD&MS focus on brownfield engineering, including upgrades to platforms and rigs. Services include project design, design verification and management, structural, piping, mechanical, HVAC, and electrical / instrumentation design, upgrades and modifications, inspection, auditing and engineering support. PD&MS Energy has UK operations in Aberdeen, Dundee, and Great Yarmouth, and international offices in Azerbaijan and Brazil.
Role synopsis
PD&MS Energy have recently been awarded a contract by BP Exploration for the provision of Engineering Services for Platform Drilling. As a result of this we have opened a new office in Baku and will require a suitably qualified and experienced citizen of Azerbaijan to fill the role ofConstruction Focal Point. This role will manage a multi-disciplined offshore workforce.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for red line mark up of all project documentation and discipline drawings, check sheet / sign-off sheets / G.o.C production, in accordance with engineering deliverables and applicable industry standards.
• Prepare P&ID mark-ups for pressure / leak testing limits / boundaries for Drilling and Production.
• Offshore/Onshore constructability reviews/surveys with discipline Engineers.
• Liaison with in-house H.S.E and Q.A departments as required.
• Completion of daily progress report using formal formats, attendance at morning calls, raising site queries, & client liaison.
• Responsible and accountable for personal safety and safety of others in or at work place(s)
• Convening safety reviews and tool box talks and for raising and adhering to Permits to Work
• Ensuring protection and return of all project related equipment in timely fashion
• Ensuring compliance with Company and Client QMS, SMS and Environmental Policies
• Maintaining valid personal offshore survival and medical certification
• Construction project familiarisation, construction input, active monitoring of site and personnel
• Overseeing and controlling offshore construction supervisors, leading hands, tradespersons and specialist vendor personnel
• Meeting or bettering project schedule or plan
Essential qualifications and experience
• Engineering or Construction Industry Apprenticeship or HNC in relevant Engineering Discipline, or relevant industry experience
• Extensive experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil and Gas Construction Industry having previously worked as Supervisor/Superintendent
• Experience Involved with Upgrades to Live Drilling Units, Production Installations, Upgrades to M.O.D.U's and Elevating Drilling Units
