Job Description

The key requirement of this role is to manage the external relationships with all appointed sub-contractors to ensure ASCO’s interests are protected at all times in relation to the service provided, commercial rates agreed and the overall efficient performance of the contract. The preferred candidate will have the necessary experience and personal drive to continuously seek efficiencies within the processes and practices of each sub-contract.

In particular, the post-holder will carry out the following duties:

• Define new scopes of service and prepare commercial proposals to manage tenders and bids
• Development of performance measurement criteria for each sub-contract
• Execution of a full diagnostic evaluation of key spending areas with recommendations around potential cost savings
• Manage contract escalations and variations to resolve contractual and commercial issues
• Manage internal relationships with operations, logistics, and support functions to ensure that the commercial aspects and impact of sub-contracts are clear to all parties
• Preparation and presentation of regular Performance Reviews to the Client and representing Company at Client meetings
• Preparation of consolidated monthly Board Reports covering performance of all sub-contracts across the Business Unit
• Preparation of annual Operating Plan
• Development of planning and scheduling tools as needed in the business

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Finance/ Project Management
• A minimum of 5 years progressive experience in leading commercial roles
• Proven understanding of the techniques of tendering and contract negotiation
• Excellent written and spoken English in that case.
• Proven numerical & costing skills, drafting budgets accurately & assessing financial performance
