Summary:

Procurement intern supports implementing procurement cycle, establish tenders and achieve the best value, to follow Supply Chain procedures, work instructions, forms, etc; Also, implementing procurement planning, supports development of category strategies for each service and materials type acquired by the Company

Responsibilities:

  • Supports all procurement activities are carried out in accordance with the project execution plan/schedule and/or procurement strategy, within approved budgets, and in line with procurement processes and procedures.
  • Supports handle procurement activities for key procurement enquiry/ purchase orders.
  • Establish regular review meetings with procurement, engineering, and/or project management personnel to ensure dates for pre-order deliverables are being maintained.
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers to improve their processes and performance.
  • To interact with end users in identifying business needs, building relationships with existing Suppliers, Manufacturers.
  • To participate all stages of the tender process
  • To create Request for Proposal for the acquisition of materials and services to get the proposals from the suppliers.
  • To prepare commercial bid evaluation for management approval.
  • To liaise with end-user department to get technical comments; incorporate technical notes into commercial bid evaluation and issue recommendation to purchase.
  • To organize meetings with suppliers and attend those meetings.
  • To negotiate on behalf of the company to get the best commercial offers on materials, equipment and services.
  • To research select and purchase quality products and materials.
  • To prepare progress of requisitions and update management on status of orders.
  • To arrange local transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • To analyse market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
  • To record and properly archive all bidding documents.
  • To work in accordance with Project procurement and subcontracting procedures.

Requirements:

  • Degree and / or qualification in Economy, Business Administration or related field;
  • Evidence of trainings and certifications in related field;
  • Minimum 0-1 year experience, preferably in Oil & Gas Sector;

Any other specific requirements:

  • IT literacy, strong skills in Excel and the ability to handle electronic data
  • Fluent Azerbaijani and English language skills (Russian language knowledge is a plus)
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
