Caspian Investment and Development Corporation (“CIDC”) is embarking on a major project in the production of fast moving consumer goods and the production of raw materials to facilitate this strategy with the development of a new plant.

The Baku based state of the art manufacturing works requires the assembly of a project team with high skill, proven potential and the ability to drive the vision of CIDC. In addition to the specific criteria stated, all candidates for the post must also have proven management skills, planning skills, excellent communication skills and high motivation. 

We are currently looking for a Senior Legal Adviser position.

The duties will include (but not limited to):

• Being responsible for all Corporate legal matters
• Assisting the business in compliance with all various legal requirements.
• Advising on minimal liability and legal exposure for the business.
• Preparing all project contractual documentation including international procurement contracts
• Implementing all administrative and legal requirements to comply with Azerbaijan Legislation
• Ensuring that the legal documents and other contractual documents are effectively drafted, reviewed, interpreted, and vetted.
• Taking decisive actions on various legal matters and assessing contentious and uncontroversial issues.
• Managing external and internal legal resources where required.
• Keeping contact with the different authorities and governmental organization for Legal issues
• Assessing and advising effectively to minimize and control risks to company and ensuring that the system, controls and processes are appropriate as relevant.
• Representing the company in ensuring the efficient handling and winning resolution of all negotiations and disputes.
• Advising and ensuring the business in compliance with the necessities of legislation involving data protection.
• Supervising, researching and analyzing implication of case law, legislation, and regulatory matters that affect the company and reporting them back to the Head.

Requirements:

• University degree in Law (International background is an advantage).
• At least 3-5 years of practical experience at the International companies
• Fluent in English, Azeri and Russian
• Self starting person, taking responsibilities and initiatives
• Deliver high quality and ultimate work
• Strong knowledge of MS Office
