Assistant breeder

Main responsibilities:

• Participating in plant selection processes as an assistant breeder;
• Participating in plant observation and providing the characterization of the selected materials;
• Harvesting the fruits from the selected plants according to their codes;
• Managing the seed processing of the harvested fruits;
• Coding the seeds of the plant materials;
• Controlling all harvest and post-harvest activities;
• Controlling the safety protocols for the area to meet the established safety objectives;
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Education: A bachelor's degree is in the field of agriculture;
• Experience: Minimum 3 months experience in greenhouse;
• Language proficiency: Azerbaijani and English fluently, Spanish is desired
• The ability to think creatively, adapt to new situations, solve problems, and focus on details is required;
• Understanding crop management and the ability to operate assorted agricultural equipment are required;
• Knowledge of seed production operations is desirable;
• The ability to work independently and in groups is required;
• Excellent communication skills are required;
• Excellent planning and leadership skills are required;
