Position: Retail Risk Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and develops scoring models, objectives and policies for retail risk management to ensure that retail riskis appropriately identified and managed;
• Ensures that appropriate policies, procedures, systems and controls are in place to mitigate unwanted risk and to enable the measurement and quantification of risks across the Retail Business;
• Develops, refines and consults on retail risk management policies and procedures that will build upon organizational effectiveness;
• Supervises the implementation of policies, programs and evaluation of performance: evaluate the effective implementation of risk identification, validation of controls, and mitigation/monitoring strategies;
• Monitors and measures the overall risk bearing capacity in relation to the aggregate risk exposure across retail riskmanagement. Analyses, controls and identifies early risks;
• Drives continuous improvement of retail risk management practices, commensurate with its size and     complexity. Proactively monitors current and emerging regulatory (e.g. legal and NBA Instructions) and risk issues;
• Closely monitors supervised unit’s results in accordance with predefined KPIs.

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of financial services businesses and business drivers in general, their profitability dynamics and the regulatory environment in which they operate, including NBA regulatory requirements;
• Demonstrated competencies in retail risk management processes, up-to-date knowledge and familiarity with financial and accounting tools, as well as banking operations and technology;
• In depth knowledge of retail risk management methodologies gained from practical experience with assessing, documenting, validating, designing, implementing and monitoring retail risk management processes;
• Track record of effectively leading a team, through demonstrated skills related to planning, analysis, organizational development and decision making in support of a retail business. A work ethic characterized by high integrity and behavior, which will serve as a role model to others;
• Ability to effectively work with people at all levels within and outside the organization, through a combination of communication, negotiation, coaching and relationship management skills;
• Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to think outside existing risk management practices/models and demonstrate foresight about potential issues and opportunities;
• About 3 years of professional experience in the Financial/Banking industry;
• The qualified candidate should hold a higher degree in Finance or Mathematic.
• Should have fluent spoken as well as written skills in both Russian and Azeri Languages.
