Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Actively participate in the HSE incident investigations and prepare required reports in consultation with management.
• Perform daily walk throughs in premises to monitor and promote a safe workplace. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement safety protocols and practices in line with industry best practices.
• Provide guidance and training to employees on health, safety, and environmental procedures to promote a culture of safety awareness.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health, safety, and environmental activities.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, analyzing root causes and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with Azerbaijan legislature, company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• To be proficient in the HSE requirement of Azerbaijan legislature, and competent to independently develop the HSE document system including but not limited to the HSE Plan, social and environment management plan and ecology;
• Excellent written and spoken Azerbaijani, good command of English.
• Intermediate MS Office knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Strong commitment to promoting a safety culture and ensuring compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
• Professional certifications such as certificate from Ministry of Emergency Situations, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
