Main responsibilities:
- Maintenance of accounting processes
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Optimization of the accounting process
- To ensure timely reflection of accounting operations in the ERP systems of the company.
- Timely collection of receivables and repayment of accounts payable and regular AP and AR reconciliation
- Monitoring and preparation and submission of all statutory reports
- Manage local payment process to ensure full compliance.
- Carry out duties on various tax issues of clients
- Preparation of management / internal reports as required
- Ensure communication with tax authorities, state institutions and other stakeholders
- Performing other daily accounting tasks as per the requirement
- Supervise and coach junior staff
Qualifications and Requirements:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting and/or other related business disciplines
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in full cycle accounting and taxation
- Advanced knowledge of Azerbaijan Tax regulations
- Strong knowledge of statutory accounting procedures and principles
- Strong knowledge of 1 C (other accounting software is an advantage)
- Fluency in Azerbaijani, English languages (knowledge of the Russian is desirable)
- Professional qualification/ certificates is an advantage (such as ACCA, CIMA, DipIFR, Certificate of a Professional Accountant (Peşəkar Mühasib Sertifikatı)
- Solid knowledge and working experience of MS Office Programs-Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook (advanced Excel is a must)
- Payroll skills;
- Good team player
- Problem-solving and decision- making skills
