Drilling Engineer

The Drilling Engineer is responsible for designing, preparing and planning drilling programs according to client’s demands, in compliance with the contractual requirements and SOCAR-AQS LLC standards and policies. He follows the execution of the drilling program and is responsible for all technical changes and recommendations made during the drilling process. He is also responsible for all end of well reports, and attends critical operations at the wellsite, as necessary.

Key responsibilites:

 Supervise well planning and engineering processes;
 Perform well and casing designs;
 Prepare detailed procedures and drilling programs;
 Provide initial well timelines for planning purposes, drilling time curves, and initial cost estimates;
 Overview final well report based on systematic monitoring of the operations;
 Evaluate new technologies for cost-effective application;
 Provide proper technical and commercial input to tender documents for services and products;
 Ensure proper Tender Evaluations;
 Acquire planning data from Geology, Reservoir Engineering or Geophysics;
 Review offset well data analysis.

Required general qualifications of the candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Sciences;
• Relevant work experience;
• Proven interpersonal, leadership and team skills;
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment;
• Multilingual (Azeri, English, Russian);
• Software skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Outlook).
