Electrical and Electronic Assistant

Work Location:   Onshore Base Facilities/Offshore Construction Vessel
Position Schedule:  ASAP, 30-Jun-2013

Education:  Electrical Technical Education

Work Experience:  Must have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Certificate:  Valid professional certification
Work-specific criteria: Single(autonomous) Electrician onboard
Knowledge of Languages: English (good); Azerbaijani (fluent)

Mission:

Ensures correct operation of barge’sall electrical/electronic equipment, ensuring the respect of HSE and quality procedures and practices on board of offshore barges under direct control of superior.

Is responsible for maintenance and repair of all electrical/electronic equipment (including shore equipment connected with Barge Operation) such as generators, el motors and electrical equipment, in order to ensure their correct operation and use, in compliance with safety and quality procedures and regulations. Carries out high-priority work related to equipment breakdowns in order to make equipment safe and restores correct operating conditions.

Tasks:

Is responsible for the following functions:

1. Monitors and controls on-board electrical/electronic equipment (including complex equipment), intervening accordingly to modify equipment and/or restore optimum operating conditions.
2. Proposing to his superior the required quantity of materials through the establishment of minimum and maximum stock levels in order to guarantee work continuity, and orders spare parts for scheduled maintenance in good time.
3. Assembles and maintains all electrical machines and plants on the site (welders generators, low voltage electric motors and control panels).
4. Carries out maintenance work on welding machines directly in the field and provides the necessary technical assistance during testing and crosses phases with regard to the movement of welders along the pipeline.
5. Carries out high-priority work related to equipment breakdowns in order to make equipment safe and restore correct operating conditions.
6. Carries out maintenance and initial work on electrical and electronic systems.
7. Monitors compliance with Project requirements and identifies the technical elements required to improve works.
8. Ensure compliance with Company permit to work system, isolation standards.
9. Assist the mechanical tradesman as required.
10. Ensures the respect of safety procedures.
