Job Description      Sales executive

Job Purpose:

Sales executives sell company’s products and services to new and existing clients. Company’s clients may be businesses, governmental organisations or individuals.
Sales executive role is to approach potential customers with the aim of winning new business.
The client is the most important component to being a successful sales executive. Sales executive should always be available to the client and identify new business opportunities, customers, markets and potential products.

Responsibilities:

• researching the market and related products;
• presenting the product or service in a structured professional way face to face;
• listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale;
• gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements;
• maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients in person by making periodic visits and via telephone calls and emails;
• cold calling to arrange meetings with potential clients to prospect for new business;
• responding to incoming email and phone enquiries;
• negotiating the terms of an agreement, closing sales and tracking the client's debt;
• gathering market and clients information;
• representing the Company at trade exhibitions, tenders, events and demonstrations;
• negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers;
• challenging any objections with a view to getting the client to buy;
• creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process that is largely dictated by the prospective client;
• making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing client with quotations;
• recording sales and order information and entering into a computer system (CRM);
• making accurate and timely all sales reports and forms (daily; weekly, monthly);
• reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets;
• a good level of understanding and knowledge of company’s products and services;
• to speak positively and enthusiastically about the company and its products and services to ensure that a professional company and brand image is provided at all times to clients and colleagues;
• attending company’s meeting and sharing best practice with colleagues

Skills/Qualifications:

Degree level, diploma or equivalent education or experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills. Proven ability in closing business to business deals within equipment sales. Excellent sales, negotiation and presentation skills. Demonstrable self sufficiency, sales leadership, entrepreneurial relationship and business development.
