Main duties:

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Culinary department for Sous Chef / Commis positions to join Bilgah Beach Hotel. Some of the key duties and responsibilities of these roles are:

  • Cook food in a timely manner
  • Learn each recipe and gather all necessary ingridients
  • Receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality
  • Setting up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests
  • Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers.

Requirements:

  • Relevant prior work history and experience in kitchen
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
  • Knowledge of current food health and safety regulations
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work in shifts
