Position: Financial Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY
Supports the budgeting and reporting activities.  Directly responsible for preparation of budget estimates, financial planning, monitoring and analyzing budget and financial results of organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
i. Developing new and effective techniques for financial planning
ii. Keeping a tab on the latest trends and techniques in the field of financial analysis
iii. Preparing the budget estimates from all the departments of the organization and critically examining them for correctness, accuracy and completeness.
iv. Studying the previous budget and taking into consideration the benefits and losses incurred during the previous financial year.
v. Suggesting suitable amendments in the budget to the higher authorities and managerial staff of the concerned departments.
vi. Consolidating the data for budget presentation and providing an overview of the financial status of all the operations.
vii. Rendering financial advice to the management officials of different operations, to undertake proper financial planning and decision-making.
viii. Submitting budget reports to the higher management of the organization for further scrutiny and approval.
ix. Monitoring the budget throughout the year.
x. Preparing detailed reports about discrepancies and amendments that occurred in the budget, during the entire financial year
xi. Preparing cost benefit analysis and studying financial requests
xii. General analysis of finance reports obtained from various departments and companies
xiii. Determining, planning and foreseeing operation activities
xiv. Hard-core analysis, fact verification, study and research
xv. Making use of spreadsheets and different statistical software to analyze the facts of their report

SUGGESTED MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
I. Bachelors’ degree in accounting, finance, economics or statistics
II. At least 2 years of responsible work experience in a business or finance/accounting office for a corporation or higher education institution
III. Experience in financial planning,
IV. Demonstrated effectiveness in oral and written communication in English
V. Demonstrated ability to multi-task, strong work ethic and attention to detail
VI. Excellent working knowledge of financial enterprise systems, and other business-related software

SUGGESTED PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
I. Advance degree in accounting, finance, economics or statistics
II. 3 or more years of work experience in a business or finance/accounting office
III. Demonstrated ability to perform high level financial analysis, multi-year projections, and statistical analyses.
