McDermott Caspian Contractors, Inc., branch of worldwide engineering and construction company in oil and gas industry, is interested in recruiting the following category of personnel.
Marine HSE Technical Trainer
Education: Bachelor degree
Qualification: Internationally recognized Certificate or Diploma in Safety, Quality
Experience: 5 years in Marine technical and safety training. Offshore work experience as marine crew (engineering/bridge)
Role:
Develop and deliver marine specific technical and HSE course content, provide hands-on sessions on technical aspects and issues and ensure compliance of corporate, national and international standards, practices and procedures in training programs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• To develop, deliver, maintain and improve technical training material
• Collaborate and coordinate with course developers and subject matter experts to develop and prepare customized on-site courses.
• Develop and prepare train-the-trainer programs.
• Document and maintain all training materials in appropriate databases.
• Assess and evaluate training programs and activities.
• Perform technical auditing and recommend corrective steps.
• Review external training programs.
• Provide hands-on sessions on technical aspects and issues.
• To keep abreast of HSE legislation and technical rules. Knowledge of local HSE legislation and main technical rules with focus especially on safety issues
• HSE policy and management systems. Knowledge of international standards on HSE management system (e.g. ISO 14001 OHSAS 18001).
• Assisting SMEs in review and approval of Training Packages
• Providing technical advice on HSES assurance matters
• Attending Company and/or client meetings as required
• Providing assistance and support to HSES Team members as and when required
• Support and administration of site base competency systems and awarding body procedures.
• Fully participate in the training & competency initiatives and projects as directed by the training and competence manager.
• Undertake additional duties commensurate with the overall responsibilities of the job, and that are within competence, when required.
• Undertake all activities in compliance with the requirements of the company's Safety Management System.
• To support the Training Manager in ensuring appropriate internal systems, processes and procedures are in place

• Advanced computer skills – particularly in Power Point, Word, Excel.

• Ability to establish rapport quickly.
• Highly motivated.
