McDermott Caspian Contractors, Inc., branch of worldwide engineering and construction company in oil and gas industry, is interested in recruiting the following category of personnel:

QC Supervisor – Offshore

Basic Functions
Coordinates and supervises the work of the welding inspectors.

 Qualifications & Experience requirements:

•     Good knowledge of English Language to enable selected candidate to undergo the required training at other McDermott locations outside of Azerbaijan and effectively communicate within the Project team;

• At least 10 years of experience working as Senior Welding Inspector;

•     Sound knowledge of welding processes and their application;

•     Formal engineering training through apprenticeship and technical college education;

• Ability to work offshore.

Senior Welding Inspectors shall hold current certification to any of the following standards as a minimum:
• CSWIP (TWI, UK) – Senior Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.2.1 or 3.2.2)
• BGAS-CSWIP (TWI, UK) – Senior Welding Inspector (SWI) or Senior Pipeline Inspector (SPI)
• PCN (BINDT, UK) – Weld Inspection Level 3
• AWS QC1 (1996 or later edition) – Senior Certified Welding Inspector (SCWI)


 Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all Inspectors under their supervision are familiar with Project requirements and are working in accordance with relevant Project specifications and procedures.

• Implement of QC requirements as detailed in the applicable Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).

• Monitor Inspectors activities with respect to correct reporting and ensure inspections are carried out as per approved ITP.

• Verify NDT is carried out in accordance with approved project procedures and specifications.

• Ensure all quality documentation and inspection reports are raised, reviewed, collated, stamped, endorsed and compiled correctly.

• Responsible for all QC issues on the Project.
