External Job Advert Maintenance Technician (Electrical)

Main purpose, responsibilities and core competencies:

Accountable for carrying out maintenance activities in line with discipline and provide support to their Supervisor

· Accountable for the Execution of maintenance activities, ensuring permits, tools, materials, equipment, work site preparation, and all supporting documentation, are in place in accordance with the Trilogy process.

· Identify requirements that will enable self-development within role and actively contribute as required.

· Responsible for ensuring any individual gaps in your competency standards are closed out on a timely basis

· Liaise with other departments/technicians as required ensuring effective/efficient delivery of the agreed plans.

· Carry out maintenance activities in accordance with client, parent company and industry standard policies and procedures.

· Ensure equipment, systems and work sites are reinstated to the required standard.

· Ensure work history is comprehensively recorded in line with data quality requirements. 

· Identify, document and communicate all follow up work and material requirements or other relevant data e.g. ordering materials against work orders and raising correct documentation for onshore workshops. Raise notifications for PM change requirements.

· Demonstrate a flexible approach to overall team performance and delivery, for example, co-ordinating vendor/subcontractor activities, shutdown preparations, multi-tasking, etc.

· Stand in for Discipline Supervisor as required when identified and suitably trained

· Provide technical support to platform team members where required

· Ensure high quality risk assessments are carried out for all activities, with particular attention to recognising the impact of change.

· Participate in improvement initiatives such EIT (equipment improvement teams), RCA (route cause analysis)

· Carry out emergency response duties as required.

· Demonstrate recognition and responsibility for the safety of colleagues and others on the platform

· Visible commitment to the risk assessment process.  Ongoing reviews of the process and carry out safety audits in the work environment for compliance

· Ensure individuals have quality Personal HSSE Contracts, which are regularly reviewed.  Proactively maintain and achieve own HSSE Contract.

· Provide effective support to workforce, vendors, third parties and apprentices in appropriate safety leadership behaviours

· Promote and encourage team safety performance by participating in and producing quality Tool Box Talks and other HSE related initiatives.

· Actively participate and encourage environmental improvement.

·     Instrument and Electrical tradesmen must have an Electrical competence

Core Competencies:

· Must have a core trade competence

· Must have level 3 NVQ in maintenance or equivalent

· Must be a good communicator

· Must be a team player but have a high degree of self motivation

· Must have cultural awareness

· Min 3-4 yrs experience in similar role
