Electrical Engineering Specialist – duties and responsibilities:

• Design electrical network distribution systems in compliance with recognized industry standards and specifications.
• Should be well versed and have experience and understand of Azerenerji codes and transmission network.
• Should have sound knowledge of electrical drawings , diagrams and terminology associated with electrical grid.
• Perform system calculations and electrical studies for electrical power distibution systems – load flow, voltage drop, short circuit and relay coordination studies;
• Develop technical bid tabulation to support the selection of major electrical equipment
• Assist in the development of project schedules, costs or manpower requirements;
• Review and checking of vendor technical submittals.
• Ensuring proposed solutions are technically compliant with customer codes and specifications
• Perform detailed electrical studies and design work for projects that may include existing facility evaluations, feasibility studies, design, cost estimating, budgeting etc.
• Familiar with construction document organization and preparation;
• Interface with and act as project focal point between 3rd party renewable energy suppliers, customer representatives and external stakeholders including:
• Participate in at least 4 biweekly-calls (about 1 hour long each) with Azerenerji/3rd party supplier
• Review and correct Azeri translation of Grid Impact Study (~55 Pages) in accordance to standards expected by Azerenerji.
• Liaise and act as point of contact for urgent matters with 3rd party and relevant stakeholders (such as Ministry of Energy and Azerenerji) on an as and when basis.
• Prepare Minutes of Meeting for any meetings held between 3rd party, external stakeholders and customer.

Electrical Engineer – desired experience and requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering;
• 10+ years of relevant electrical engineering, EPC or project engineering experience. Experience in energy or utilities sector with specialization in energy distribution networks is preferable.
• Working knowledge of Azenergi electrical engineering codes and standards;
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and symbols according to the international standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write technical documents clearly and accurately.
• Capability to work against deadlines and prioritize work assignments.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Computer Literate in MS office and AutoCAD essential and preferably ETAP or similar electrical design software.
• Fluent in English, Azerbaijani and preferably also Russian languages.
