Include, but are not limited to the following:

- Act as a focal point for mechanical (static and rotating) equipment related queries.
- Define maintenance strategy, maintenance scope and procedures for mechanical equipment.
- Develop maintenance and inspection procedures related to mechanical equipment and review them periodically to ensure they are up to date and cover all requirements.
- Provide input to availability and reliability studies, defining spares requirements.
- Define performance standards for mechanical equipment safety critical elements.
- Define performance, functional and safeguarding specifications for mechanical equipment using applicable codes and standards.
- Select and apply mechanical equipment engineering standards and codes.
- Define the specification and selection of spare parts for mechanical equipment to be procured and arrangements for preservation and storage.
- Define required spare part stock levels and reorder quantities related to mechanical equipment.
- Identify, deploy and manage condition monitoring techniques.
- Review condition monitoring reports (e.g. vibration analysis, lube oil analysis) and propose recommendations when required.
- Support field personnel in troubleshooting of mechanical equipment failures.
- Define mechanical equipment commissioning and startup methodologies.
- Manage the integration of operational and/or maintenance requirements into projects.
- Meet regularly with the customer to discuss issues related to mechanical equipment, modernization and upgrade projects.
- Initiate and lead Root Cause Analysis for mechanical equipment related incidents.
- Produce high quality reports with recommendations required to resolve technical issues and to improve equipment reliability and availability.
- Review OEM`s Service Bulletins and check applicability to the fleet. If applicable put in place actions to implement them.
- Provide engineering support at site for the installation, inspection, and testing of mechanical equipment.
- Review NCRs related to mechanical equipment and track them to close out.
- Review reports (maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, root cause analysis etc.) and identify actions requiring engineering support.
- Make sure all technical documentation related to mechanical equipment is up to date.
- Manage remaining life assessments for mechanical equipment.

Education/Experience and Qualification:

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (master's preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering field.
- Expert knowledge of the rotating equipment (gas turbines, compressors) and applicable standards and codes.
- Expert knowledge of static equipment (valves, heat exchangers, pressure vessels etc.) and applicable standards and codes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Vibration Analysis (CAT) and Machine Lubricant Analysts (MLA) Certificates would be an advantage.
- Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Good analytical abilities with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Be able to work on own initiative, work to deadlines and also be a team player.
- An ability to work well under pressure.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent English language.
- Advanced PC user.
