Job title: Instrumentation Controls Engineer
Education: Suitably Qualified in Automation Technology
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible to ensure the INSTRUMENT installation is carried out in accordance with design drawings and specifications.
Act as Company Instrument Engineer on the construction site. Authorized to accept or reject contractors work practices.
Development of General and Project Specifications and Data sheets
Preparation of Material Requisitions
Prepare concise material reconciliation
Technical Bid Evaluations
Participate in technical bid clarification meetings
Review Vendor design documentation and challenge when required
Review and approve Vendor Prints
Monitor and guide contractor on equipment installation activities.
Monitor and guide contractor on site preservation activities.
To review and action all instrumentation related contractor raised site queries.
Verify mechanical completion activities.
Verify instrumentation pre-commissioning activities.
To monitor and report on progress of instrumentation installation, hook-up and commissioning activities.
To carry out instrument inspection and punch-out.
Take a lead role in the promotion of safe working practices on site.
Responsible for coordinating contractors’ instrumentation technicians on site activities.
