FINCA Azerbaijan is seeking a Core Banking System Administrator for its head office in Baku. FINCA Azerbaijan is a rapidly-growing microfinance institution, now providing loans to more than 125,000 clients across Azerbaijan.
The `s job responsibilities include:
Core Banking System Maintenance:
• Keep up to date with the Core Banking System architectural components, transaction processing workflow at the components / database objects level, frontend functionality and backend objects.
• Perform Core Banking System parametrization requests raised by the parametrization committee as well as a periodic parametrization changes like calendar, financial periods …
• Investigate found user/system problems by performing a root cause analisys, verifying by test case scenarios and collecting a required data/log information to be sent to the Verdor for resolution.
• Register issues in the Vendor’s helpdesk system by providing a detailed information (error screenshots, table rows, logs from a required sources) about an issue. Further track of open issues by timely acting on a Vendor’s requests.
• Organize a thorough verifications/tests of a sent by Vendor solutions in UAT environments before deploying to production.
• Ensure Core Banking System’s production and test environments data integrity and proper functioning;
• Ensure that all Core Banking System related processes (End of Day, Beginning of Day, etc) are smoothly done;
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Assist to IT manager in creating of backup and replication policies for Core Banking System databases.
Provide Technical Support to other Core Banking Systems unit members:
• Manage Core Banking System helpdesk support team’s troubleshooting work and ensure its service quality. Assist in technical side of a problem analisys.
• Help to helpdesk spesialists to prepare a test cases to be conducted in UAT servers for a fixes/patches sent by the Vendor before moving to production.
• Help to Reporting Specialists and software developers to find/confirm a required information sources in the Core Banking System database objects
Technical Support and Training for Users:
• Provide ongoing guidance, trouble-shooting support, and response to user questions/problems with software.
• Provide trainings to FINCA Azerbaijan users as necessary (as per the plan and schedule).
The candidate`s requirements:
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL
• Fundamental knowledge in Oracle Database Server, MS SQL Server,
• Ability to deal with a variety of problems and choosing the best decision among many available alternatives.
• Excellent abilities of technical writing and documentation;
• Basic knowledge of finance , accounting , banking and microfinance;
• Fluency in Russian and Azeri languages, and proficiency in written and spoken English;
• Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to higher levels of the organization (IT manager and Company Management)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information.
• A university degree in computer science or related field is a plus.
• Any certificate in the field of Oracle Database programming is a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT
Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.
