Job Title: IT Infrastructure Specialist


Main Function of Job:

To provide high quality technical support for Group of companies on a permanent and full time basis supporting a 250+ user base.
The role reports to the IT Team Leader.

Main Duties:

Maintain and support the company local and wide area network infrastructure.
Administer, configure and support the network infrastructure and voice network systems.
Perform hardware and software installation, configuration & maintenance.
Administer, support desktop operating systems, applications and data.
Maintain Network Security at all levels
Maintain and support the company messaging system
Maintain and Support the infrastructure servers
Prepare and deploy desktop images, applications and updates.
Prepare technical solution options based on business requirements
Keep any required records and documentation.
Undertake training when and where necessary.
Attend meetings when and where necessary.
To promote and sustain a constructive, supportive and friendly working relationship with all customers, external and internal, immediate and senior management and other work colleagues.

1. EDUCATION
Essential Desirable
Diploma , MCP  Any further or higher educational qualifications. CNA/CNE
CNAor CNE

2. EXPERIENCE
Essential Desirable
Minimum five year’s experience in an IT Infrastructure environment including direct experience supporting desktops, ethernet switches, routers, servers and appliances. Data Centre

3. SPECIAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE (Training)

Sound technical knowledge of:
Cisco ASA Firewall
Cisco Switches & Routers
VSphere 4 Server Virtualisation
Microsoft Network and Desktop Operating Systems
Active Directory
Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
Domain Name System (DNS)
MS Exchange
MS .Net Server


Cisco Unified Communication
Videoconferencing
CCTV Systems
Mac OS
